A “statement of faith” has the usefulness of helping us know how someone’s beliefs compare to our own understanding of scripture. A “statement of faith” should never be an anchor, have our allegiance, or take on authority. We should be committed to a lifetime of studying the Word of God and as of such a “statement of faith” is never finished.
